The Network for Intercultural Competence & Entrepreneurship (NICE) is a multi-university collaboration to help you develop intercultural competence and entrepreneurial skills.
The programme consists of a three-month virtual learning journey in which you'll be educated on intercultural competences and entrepreneurial skills. Together with students from across Europe you will learn how to apply these skills and work in a transnational team to solve a global challenge, such as climate action, health and wellbeing, or clean and efficient energy. The content of the course aims to empower you with self-efficacy, effective team working and leadership skills. Prepare yourself for a changing job market with this challenging course and learn to work in an international setting with confidence!
NICE online course and summer school is mainly a virtual programme. In July, all students will meet at the final event: the NICE Summer School.

All current UvA students are eligible. You are welcome to apply, as long as you have an active enrollment with UvA during the entire programme. This programme is especially suitable for students whose opportunity to travel or study abroad is otherwise limited, such as students with specialized learning requirements, disabilities, caring responsibilities and more.
The NICE online course starts in March and lasts about three months. The optional summer school takes place in July.
You should expect to spend an average of three to five hours per week on the online module and working with your team.
There are no costs for the virtual course. In case of a physical summer school, part of the costs will be covered by the programme, and/or a scholarship opportunity.
NICE is a non-credit bearing certificate programme. It is designed as a valuable experience for your CV and LinkedIn, as well as an opportunity to meet students from all over Europe.
Applications for NICE 2022 will open late 2021.
