Participating in an European multidisciplinary student conference in Rome?
In 2017 the UNICA Student Conference will be organised by Sapienza University of Rome in cooperation with the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Roma Tre University and the University of Rome “Foro Italico”. The Office of International Student Affairs (BIS) will nominate a maximum of 10 students to participate in the UNICA Student Conference.
The UNICA Student Conference is part of the UNICA is a network. This is a network of 44 universities from 33 capital cities of Europe. Each two years one of the UNICA member universities organizes a conference. The conference is meant to give students a platform to share their views on issues which are crucial to Europe’s future. More than 250 European students will attend the conference in Rome.
Towards a Student-Centred University
The conference will be organised around 10 different topics under the main theme “Towards a Student-Centred University”. Students are required to be fluent in English and willing to actively participate in discussions with fellow students in in one of the 10 topics:
- Quality of Higher Education
- Student-Centred Learning
- New ways of teaching and learning
- Fostering access to Higher Education
- Student Mobility
- Employability of students
- Greener Universities
- Integration of refugees: What can universities do?
- The Future of Europe
4 nights of accommodation, meals, cultural events and local transportation is covered by the organising universities. The UvA will provide a scholarship of to cover travel costs to Rome.
